YOUR FARM
Explore what we offer
THE SET-UP
Our process is made pretty simple and convenient for you the small farmer and homesteader. We come out to your property with our mobile unit, get everything set up and ready to receive the animal. Once set up, we dispatch the animal, get it loaded in the rear of the trailer and begin the age old process of butchering the animal. once we get the carcass broke down we take it to the front of the trailer for further processing, vacuum sealed packaging and labeling. The only work on your part is coming to get your meat and placing it in a cooler, refrigerator or freezer.
OUR GOAL
Our goal is to provide a stress-free environment for the animal that you have spent so much time and effort raising to provide for your family. We also strive to make this experience as stress-free and as painless as possible on you, the customer. We want you to know that you are getting your meat back and that you are getting all of your meat back as well.
OUR PROMISE
Our promise is to provide you with as seamless a process as possible and to render the best cuts of the animal with professional packaging, comparable to any store front butcher shop. We strive to create an atmosphere of professionalism and respect for the farmer and his handy work.
ABOUT US
Welcome to Harvesters Mobile Butchery. We are a family owned and operated business from Rhome, TX. The idea for a mobile butcher unit actually started in our back yard and in our kitchen years ago while processing our own deer and later, our own pigs. The venture of curing meats and making our own breakfast sausage, boudin, summer sausage and bacon only added to the idea of something more than just a home hobby.
Once Covid 19 hit, it decimated the meat processing industry and really handicapped the small farmer and homesteader in being able to get processing dates. The waiting list went from 3-6 months to over 2 years. With all this taking place, I and a friend of mine were talking about entrepreneurial ventures and he reminded me that i liked butchering and that i should look at maybe doing a mobile butcher service, namely because he had never heard of anything like that. And that is how it started the wheels rolling.
4 years of research and development, relying on my welding, fabrication and design background and the financial backing of some very dear friends and here we are. My wife Mallie is over the administrative side of things. My son Tanner is my right-hand man with the slaughter and processing and my daughters Faith and Patience are all about the packaging and making it look pretty.
The name Harvesters is actually derived from Luke 10-2. Jesus appointed other disciples to go two by two into all the surrounding cities and told them, “The harvest is plenty, but the labourers are few…….” There are plenty of people in the world that do not know Jesus and it is our job to preach the Gospel to the whole of creation.
